Refund policy
Hall Brands LLC, operating the Chedz™ brand at shop.chedzsnacks.com, wants every customer to be happy with their order. Because Chedz is a food product currently launching through a preorder model, our return and refund process is built around food safety standards and the preorder production cycle. Here's how it works.
Preorder cancellations
If your order has not yet entered production, you can cancel and receive a full refund at any time. Email us at jason@thissillygirlskitchen.com with your order number to cancel.
Production for each Chedz batch is triggered when we hit the production threshold for the batch. Once that threshold is reached, we send a production confirmation email to all customers. After that confirmation goes out, orders enter the production queue and become non-cancellable, because we have already committed to our manufacturer.
If we do not hit the production threshold
If a preorder window closes without hitting the production threshold, every order in that window is automatically refunded in full to the original payment method. You do not need to request it. We will email confirmation when the refund is processed.
Damaged, defective, or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will make it right. Options include a free replacement shipped at our cost, a full refund of the affected items to your original payment method, or store credit for a future order.
To file a claim, email jason@thissillygirlskitchen.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and a photo of the affected items and packaging if possible. Photos help us improve and address issues with our manufacturer directly.
Returns of opened or unopened product
Because Chedz is a food product, we cannot accept physical returns of opened or unopened product for food safety reasons. This is consistent with FDA guidance and industry standard practice for shelf-stable food. If there is an issue with your order, please use the damaged or defective process above rather than shipping product back to us.
Refund processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days of approval and typically appear on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. For preorder cancellations or full-batch refunds, processing may take up to 10 business days due to volume.
Shipping costs
Original shipping charges are non-refundable except when an order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong, in which case shipping is refunded in full along with the affected items. Customers are responsible for any return shipping costs incurred against our no-return policy on food products, and we cannot refund items received against this policy.
Allergies and dietary concerns
Chedz products contain cheddar cheese and may contain wheat depending on the SKU. Full ingredient and allergen information is available on each product page and on our standalone Ingredients and Allergens page. If you have a known allergy or dietary restriction, please review the ingredients before ordering.
